MOTHER'S DAY   Mother’s Day was the first event in 2008 which we celebrated together with the parents, it was very nice and harmonical. The mothers of the little children started their day in the kindergarten, watching a little puppet theatre which was performed by the teachers. Afterwards all the families went to the “cabana” to see the presentations of the students from 1st to 8th grade, which included a great variety of beautiful music performances this year. The classes recited poems, sang, played recorder and performed pieces of music that included several singing voices, recorders, guitars, violins and percussion instruments. For the first time after a long while we had pupils playing violin in the school! Our German volunteer Christian has been teaching violin to several different students, supporting the other music lessons.     Last but not least our teachers showed that they have been practicing music as well and performed some beautiful songs together. At the end of our Mother’s Day party all people enjoyed cake and juice and had time for some conversation. Congratulations to all mothers and thanks to everybody for coming!   (09/05/2008)
