SÃO JOÃO (St. John) 2008
While teachers, parents and students were preparing everything for our yearly São João event, it rained all the time, and we wondered if it would rain during the whole party…
Nevertheless, everything was prepared carefully and the party took place in spite of the rain. Many people came, proving that our São João event is already well kown and appreciated in the community! The games happened inside the classrooms, as well as the food & juice sale and the bazar, where the 8th grade students were offering 2nd hand clothes and self made arts objects.
In the open “cabana”, prize winning attracted the public, and several dances and quadrilhas were presented. The ribbon dance of the 6th grade had already been cancelled, when the rain stopped and the sky cleared up, allowing this beautiful presentation to happen and the fire to enlighten the end of the day… A new attraction this year was the young musical band “Estação 39”, that played live music for the quadrilhas! |

The money of the event will be invested in the 8th grade’s class trip in the end of the year, and we thank for everybody’s help. You can see scenes of the party in our photo gallery! |
