St. MICHAEL’S DAY
In September, the Archangel Michael’s month, the school uses to live in an atmosphere of courage and struggle of the good forces against the bad ones, symbolized by the dragon. The teachers tell stories and offer activities that make the students feel this strength the archangel represents.
In the kindergarten, the children went through St. Michael’s path, a spiral way they walk in and out, with a shining sword in their hands, asking for courage and strength and receiving a little precious stone in the end. They loved this beautiful ritual!
The 1st grade performed a little theatre play about St. Michael, who lends his sword and strength to the knight that saves the princess from the terrible dragon. This beautiful play was shown to parents and other classes on the 29th of September, St. Michael’s day. |

All students of the classes 1 to 8 participated in funny and exciting “courage tests”: passing a dark tunnel or a narrow trunk, hanging on a rope or trying unknown tastes with their eyes closed. All these “adventures” were organized by teachers and volunteers, in the wood nearby the school.
